Alex Lovallo

Board Member

Alex Lovallo brings his expertise in living sculpture, technical engineering skills, and general all around interest in connecting to youth and the Ithaca community in his role as ICG board member.

Ed has been president of the Board since October, 2011. As a wheelchair user, Ed hopes to improve accessibility so that everyone can enjoy all the wonderful areas and activities at the Ithaca Children's Garden.

Treasurer

Elizabeth Brando is an executive nonprofit leader with over 20 years’ experience, and is excited to share her talents and knowledge with the Ithaca Children's Garden.

Harriet Becker

Co-founder

Along with Monika Roth and Mary Alyce Kobler, Harriet co-founded the Garden in 1997, and has been involved ever since doing everything from taking photos, working on signs, being Board President, to treating our apprentices to cold watermelon on especially hot days.

Joyce Barney

Board Member

Having joined our board in June, 2012, Joyce has already jumped in with both feet, connecting the Ithaca Children's Garden to her vast networks through her love of people, children, and the natural world.

Kate Dimpfl

Board Member

Kate joined ICG's Board of Directors in May, 2012. However she's been working closely with ICG for nearly a year, and has been instrumental in developing the Bulb Labyrinth Memorial Garden.

Kathleen Downes

Secretary

Kathleen has a background in design and worked her way through college sewing costumes for the Cornell University theater department. She has been a special education teacher for 25 years primarily working with preschool age children and their families, and tends gardens with the children she teaches at Caroline Elementary.

Monika Roth

CCE liaison

Monika Roth is the Agriculture & Horticulture Program Leader for Cornell Cooperative Extension of Tompkins County. Her duties range from working with farmers on agriculture business development and marketing, working with towns on farmland use policy, to answering gardening questions and supporting volunteer efforts.
