20 Years of ICG Celebration

ICG was established in 1999 and has been growing ever since. This National Public Gardens Week, join us for a full line-up of glorious Garden activities to celebrate 20 years of ICG.

UPDATE: The weather was not on our side this week. The cold and rain resulted in the cancelation of many of our planned festivities. But as the skies have cleared, we are combining many of the week’s activities for an extra special evening of celebration on Thursday, May 16th from 5:30-7:00 pm! There will be something fun for everyone with Pizza on the Grill, Wine from the Finger Lakes, a Garden tour led by co-founder Harriet Becker (at 6pm, meeting at the main entrance), Fairy House Building and Pot Up Pansy Stations, and a raffle for a chance to wine an ICG Chico bag and $25 Michaeleen’s Florist and Garden Center gift certificate.

The day will begin with Yoga for Youngsters from 10-10:30 am, a Fairy House Building station will be set up from 10 am onwards and there will be an Intro to Birding session from 4-4:30 pm.

For every event described below, meet in the Kid’s Kitchen (the red-roofed structure to the right once inside the main entrance) and an ICG team member will be there to get things started! If an event is described as “self led,” supplies will be left in the Kid’s Kitchen for you to use.

Worried about transportation? Scroll to the bottom of the page for information on how to get to the Garden so that you don’t miss a thing!
