School’s Out Camps

School’s out, let’s play!

Please note: School’s out camps plan to return to the Garden in 2022, and are not currently scheduled for 2021.

The Garden’s school’s out camps offered for elementary age children in the  fall allow them to set the pencils down, bundle up, and get outside to learn and play in nature. Paired with activities like science experiments, cooking lessons, and games galore, what better way is there for your child to spend their school break?

Enchanted Autumn (Indigenous People’s Day and PLC Day)

Monday, October 10, 2022
ICSD Professional Development Day TBD
9-4 pm (care from 8:30-4:30)
Ages 5-11

Fall is a magical time in the Garden. We’ll explore different parts of the Garden to see how the plants and animals prepare for winter, make scarecrows, prepare tasty snacks, and have lots of time for play!

Forts, Dens, & Hideouts (Veterans Day)

Friday, November 11, 2022
ICSD Parent/Teacher Conference Day (TBD)
9-4 pm (care from 8:30-4:30)
Ages 5-11

There is so much to explore in the autumn Garden! Once the campfire is going it’s on to construction as we turn the Hands-On-Nature Anarchy Zone into a village for forts, dens, and hideouts.  We’ll see what’s left to harvest and cook something hearty in the Kids’ Kitchen.
