When school’s out, play is in!
At Ithaca Children’s Garden, we offer School’s Out Play Days filled with fun nature play opportunities for Kindergarten through Fifth Grade students.
This fall, our School’s Out Play Days will be brimming with opportunities for outdoor exploration, fun nature crafts, and delightful cooking activities.

Program Information for 2023-2024:
The program fee is $75 per day.
Needs-based scholarships are available. Please follow the Registration Process instructions below to get started.
Scholarship Information
If your family qualifies for the Federal Free or Reduced Lunch programs or has other financial circumstances that mean you need a scholarship to attend, please complete our scholarship application.
Free lunch eligibility = 40% scholarship
Reduced lunch eligibility = 30% scholarship
Additional scholarship options are available. Personal circumstances are taken into consideration.
Fall Dates:
- Friday, October 20, 9 AM to 4 PM
- Friday, November 10, 9 AM to 4 PM
Register for one or both dates.
9 AM to 4 PM
Drop Off: 8:30 to 9 AM
Pick Up: 3:30 to 4 PM
ICG does not provide after care for School’s Out.
Registration Process:
Note that registration is first-come first-serve. Please fill out the registration form OR scholarship application as soon as possible to secure your space.
- (Optional) Fill out our scholarship application, if relevant. We have reserved some spaces in the program to ensure families can register after hearing back about a scholarship.
- Once processed, you will receive an email from register@ithacachildrensgarden.org to confirm your scholarship recipient status. If approved, you will receive a coupon code from us to use at registration. If you are already enrolled or are currently on the waitlist, we will apply the discount for you.
- Complete the registration form for each child you wish to enroll in School’s Out. You will need to create an account or log in if you have an account from ICG Summer Camp 2023. You may register for one or both School’s Out days in the fall. If space is full, ACTIVE will inform you that the program is full and that you will go on the waitlist after submitting the registration form.
- If you received a coupon code for a scholarship, enter it before entering your payment information.
- If registering at least two weeks in advance, you may choose to enroll in a payment plan. A $10 deposit is due immediately and the balance is due two weeks before the program start date. Otherwise, the full program payment will be due right away.
- If you are on the waitlist, we will reach out if space opens and your child is next on the list.
