Ensuring a vibrant future for Ithaca Children’s Garden

At Ithaca Children’s Garden, we dream in decades. Our mission — to inspire environmental stewardship through play, exploration, and hands-on learning — is as important today as it will be for future generations. That’s why we’re proud to share the creation of the ICG Endowment Fund, established in partnership with the Community Foundation of Tompkins County.

A Gift That Grows

The ICG Endowment Fund is a powerful tool for sustainability. It provides long-term, reliable funding that supports ICG programs, staff, and operations year after year. Managed by the Community Foundation, the fund preserves and grows principal while making annual distributions to support ICG’s work.

Why Give to the Endowment?

  • Build long-term impact. Your gift helps secure ICG’s future for the children of today and tomorrow.
  • Join a growing legacy. Every contribution — no matter the size — becomes part of something bigger: a collective investment in nature-based learning and joy.
  • Give YOUR way. You can give in the way that’s most meaningful to you:
    • One-time or recurring donation
    • Tribute gift in honor or memory of a loved one
    • Gifts of stock, real estate, crypto, or estate bequests

Whether your gift is $50 or $5 million, you are building a legacy — a living, growing promise that future generations will always have a place to get messy, feel wonder, and belong in nature. Make your gift to the ICG Endowment Fund today:

Faces of Philanthropy

Why do you love & support The Garden?

Photographer Sarah Clapp asked this question to some of ICG’s incredible members, partners, and Garden enthusiasts, and the outcome was simply beautiful. The resulting exhibition, Photographing Philanthropy for the Love of Humanity, debuted at ICG’s 2017 Annual Celebration and perfectly encapsulates the role of the Garden in the lives and hearts of ICG devotees. See for yourself!
