Does learning really happen when one’s curiosity is not engaged?

Let the exploring begin!

Of all the ways to learn, we favor curiosity-provoking, child-led, sensory-rich, affirming, even empowering. Much learning happens among visitors spontaneously in the Garden without staff present. However this section showcases how you and children in your life can get connected to nature and Ithaca Children’s Garden through programs.

School-based Outdoor Learning

ICG can help schools or entire districts improve use of schoolyards for outdoor learning.

Enjoy this collection of activities that can be done with minimal supplies – from home!  Perfect for the pandemic, or whenever you want to stay close to home.
